The Wyatt Student Council will be collecting books, arts and craft supplies and school supplies for children affected by Hurricane Harvey.  Each classroom will also write encouraging letters that will be included in the donations.  Please be on the lookout for more information in the coming days.

The Wyatt PTA is also supporting the Texas PTA in its efforts to purchase supplies for the schools in the areas affected. Please visit for more information below about this effort and consider making a donation.

Thank you for your generosity Wyatt Wallaroos!

Texas PTA - Fill the Backpack

Many of our communities along the Texas Gulf Coast face unprecedented damage from Hurricane Harvey. As we look forward to the days, weeks and months ahead, families will begin the process of rebuilding their homes, returning to work, and our students will head back to school.

The 500,000 members of Texas PTA stand ready to help recover, rebuild, and renew our commitment to making every child’s potential a reality - even when the challenges may seem great.

Texas PTA will be working closely with school districts to provide the important supplies for students and teachers to be ready to learn on the first day in the classroom. To allow us to be responsive to the specific needs of each community, Texas PTA is coordinating efforts for monetary donations.

There are two ways you can help us Fill the Backpack:

Join Lone Star Statewide PTA:
Through September 30, Lone Star Statewide PTA has dedicated 100% of local proceeds to assist with the relief effort. This commitment of less than $20 will help provide both supplies and a voice for every child! When joining, select "Statewide PTAs" as the school district.

Make a Cash Donation:
100% of all donations will be used to provide direct assistance to students and classrooms impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Community Outreach Programs 2016-2017

Thank you for your continued support of our partnership with Sigler Elementary, one of Plano’s schools in which 80% of the students receive free or reduced-cost lunches. With the significant financial challenges that the families at Sigler have, we are grateful for the opportunity to provide support to the kids, staff, and families at Sigler throughout the year.Picture

Last year we sponsored several projects to help Sigler and other schools in PISD throughout the year.  We'd like to continue our partnership with Sigler again this year, but we need a community outreach chair to coordinate these efforts. Contact if you're interested in helping out!

Sigler Camp Care Kits
Wyatt PTA partnered with Student Council to sponsor a drive to help the 5th grade students at our sister school, Sigler Elementary, with camp supplies. We collected wash cloths, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap/body wash, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, and sunscreen in September. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
