Dear Wyatt Families,

I hope that you have been enjoying a relaxing and engaging summer with your families! Now that it is time to start thinking about back-to-school. I am sure, we are all eager to see the hallways of Wyatt filled with the smiles of students and staff again.

As we continue to support Wyatt’s ongoing technology campaign, aimed at bringing new technology and learning tools into every classroom, we are also excited to bring to you this year’s theme, “Wyatt – growing good hearts AND good minds”. The idea is to develop the child as WHOLE – socially, emotionally, and academically! Which means, you as a parent can get more involved in your child’s education. Studies show that parental engagement in the school is one of the key factors in determining a child’s success. Come, join in the fun at Wyatt and participate in any way you can. Become a part of the community, converse with your child’s teacher and other parents in the hallway, get to know how the school functions on a day-to-day basis, and understand the various programs and resources that are being offered to your child! These moments are all priceless! We are confident that there is a place for everyone – working and stay-at-home parents, moms and dads, families of all cultures. All are welcome!

I encourage you to subscribe to the Wyatt Wire E-News, join our Facebook group, and become a member of Wyatt PTA to stay in-the-loop about important news, events, and happenings at the school. I hope that you will find our new Membership Toolkit online system, an easy way to get all of your PTA tasks done - order spirit wear, donate towards technology, check out volunteer opportunities, join PTA, edit your directory information, and more. There is a calendar and checklist featured for your convenience as well. I look forward to seeing you at Wyatt. Wyatt Rocks!
