Dear Wyatt Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! Whether you're a returning family or new to our community, we’re so glad you’re here. I’m honored to serve my second term as PTA President. I have a daughter in 4th grade and my son will be entering kindergarten in another year. We love that Wyatt is a warm, welcoming environment where students thrive. They are academically challenged, emotionally supported, and encouraged. School is like a second home to our children, and there is no home like Wyatt!
The PTA plays a vital role in building a strong school community. We work closely with school staff, teachers, and families to support enrichment programs, organize events, and provide resources that benefit every child at Wyatt. We fundraise for field trips, classroom grants, new school equipment, and other student resources. We make sure our teachers and staff are appreciated and have what they need. We partner with local businesses to strengthen our community. And we are part of a national organization that advocates for EVERY child.
I invite you to join PTA! It is for anyone and everyone: parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, neighbors, literally anyone who wants to make a difference simply by joining. Membership fees support the work PTA does, and there is strength in numbers! Nothing else is required. Just signing up is enough!
Of course, you are always welcome at any or all of our 6 meetings, even if you haven't signed up yet! They are short, informative, and always tied with a program to make it more worth your time. There is no pressure to volunteer, but if you're looking for ways to connect with other parents or get involved- we would love to welcome you and can help find something that fits your schedule or interests. Whether you have an hour to give at the school or need a quick task like dropping snacks off for teachers one month, it all makes a big difference. We also want you to come to our family events! Get to know other families, watch your child connect with friends, and just have fun.
PTA also strives to make communication easier for parents. We keep this website updated with events and information, send out periodic newsletters and weekly updates through the Wyatt Wire, host social media pages, and a WhatsApp group for each grade. Connect with us and we'll help make sure you don't miss a thing :)
