Get Involved — Volunteer!

What makes our PTA great is all of the wonderful parents and community members that share their time with Wyatt throughout the year. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities in terms of time commitment, time of year commitment and project scope so we are confident that there is something for everyone’s skills and schedules.

If you have any questions about volunteering at Wyatt or need help finding the best fit for your time and interests, please contact our VP of Volunteers at volunteers@wyattpta.org.

There will be many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Look for sign-up sheets as events come up such as field day, field trip chaperones, parent readers, class parties, etc.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

We need volunteers at our Apex Fun Run on Friday, March 13th to mark laps on student wristbands as they pass, hand out water, and cheer them on!

We are also collecting donations from local businesses for our spring silent auction. If you can help, we have a list of businesses to reach out to. We also need someone who can post our auction items on the site we will use to host. Email president@wyattpta.org to help make Spring Fling a success!

These are important volunteer positions we need for the 2025-2026 school year:

• Field Day Coordinator- Work with PE teacher to plan Field Day and coordinate volunteers. 

• Hospitality Coordinators- Help plan and set up teacher appreciation events throughout the school year. Works with our VP of Programs. 

• Parliamentarian- This is an executive board position but comes with no tasks other than reviewing our bylaws and standing rules (nothing too complicated) and attending our executive and general meetings and making sure we are upholding the rules. This is another great introductory role to the PTA executive board.

• SAGE Chair- Advocate for our Special and Gifted Education students. Share resources for families and meet with executive board to help us provide more support and inclusivity to those students and families. 

• Secretary- This is a great introductory position to the executive board. Primary responsibility is taking notes "minutes" (using a provided template) during our meetings. Perfect way to have a voice in decisions and see all the behind-the-scenes magic :)
  
• Social Coordinator- Help us plan our first spring movie night!
  
  
  
• Sponsorship Coordinator- Help recruit and manage new corporate sponsors. 

• Yearbook Coordinators- Help design yearbook pages. All work can be done from home at your convenience! Deliver yearbooks to classroom at end of year, if available. Works with Historian.
