What is Straight Talk ’26?
Straight Talk ’26 is a one-hour panel discussion featuring experts in public education, technology, mental health, and workforce development. The panel explores how AI is shaping classrooms, homework, and everyday life—and addresses the questions families are asking as these tools become more common.
Panelists include:
• Charley Ayres, Director of University Relations, Texas A&M University–Central Texas
• Kyle Berger, Chief Technology Officer, Arlington ISD
• Roy Rios, LMSW, Trauma-Informed Psychotherapist, Austin Trauma Therapy Center, and Director of Programs, Texas Council on Family Violence
• Clay Smith, Solutions Engineer, Google
Following the viewing, attendees will participate in a live discussion and Q&A with Matt Frey, PISD Executive Director of Instructional Technology, who will share how AI is currently used and taught in Plano ISD.
Breakfast will be provided, and we would love for you to attend.
